The more extra effort added- unpacking files, packaging extras, and so on- the closer they get to needing to charge money for what was once free, thus pissing a bunch of people and having a negative effect on the "modding scene" to some indeterminate extent. Okay, look- I'd call it "very likely" that part of the reason they don't mind offering the tools without charge is the lack of extra effort needed: put'em on the web site, and create a download link. It's more like a service, I don't mean at all that they wouldn't provide the tools (on the web) themselves without it.

It includes loading the launcher, installing the Cre.

Would it be valid to think they'd do it without charge but still another edition? (because mods created after do help the sales for a bit) Then I'll modify the poll >.> else not. This is a quick tutorial on how to install the new Creation kit for Skyrim Special Edition.

I guess it's something further away than I thought. Creation kit manual - posted in Skyrim Creation Kit and Modders: hi Guys, Is there some exhaustive manual about the Creation Kit I read on the net, there are some tutorials about creating object, quest, landscapes, but what interests me, for now, are the entries, conditions, perks, there are soooo many options to pick from, and no idea what they mean, for the most.

I just like the idea as in you can get a special edition for 'modders', not as in 'only if you want to mod you've got to get it'. It'd just be something extra you could get. The mod tools would still be provided via web for free as well in this idea of course. It is also used by modders who make all the wonderful mods that we all love to use. It's possible to argue that it's necessary to unpack with the new editor or that the editor might even allow it itself, but lets assume that's not the case. Skyrim Creation Kit is the tool that Bethesda used to create Skyrim.

It might entice some more people to modding, but at the other hand it's basically not necessary with all BSA extraction methods and the fact the construction kit is up-to-date when you get it online at the wiki. Updated for the latest version on PC / Mac (Steam). It'd contain all BSA files unpacked and the first edition of the construction kit (CK) like Morrowind had (as it's likely it'll get updated it's possible a newer CK will be released later) The goal of the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch (aka USSEP) is to eventually fix every bug with Skyrim and its DLCs not officially resolved by the developers to the limits of the Creation Kit and community-developed tools, in one easy-to-install package. Like any special edition, it would probably be around $10//20% more expensive.

it's doubtful it'll happen, especially as it'd mean at least 2 extra DVDs with the amount of content packed in the files for such a game.īut imagine that like with morrowind, the construction kit would be packed with Skyrim in a special edition.would you get it?

Join the discussion on Skyrim Special Edition and game modding on the OC3D Forums.īethesda has confirmed that they will be releasing the Skyrim Special Edition creation kit sometime next week. You can look at several Skyrim Special Edition PC mods on the Skyrim SE Nexus website. Nexus Mods say that they should be able to release a compatible version of their mod utility shortly after launch after they complete sometheir compatibility testing with the latest version of the game. The PC version of Skyrim Special Edition will support modding on launch day, though not through Nexus mods or the Steam workshop, with mods needing manual installation to function. The Xbox One version of the game will be able to support up to 5GB of mods and also support the addition of custom assets, making the Xbox One version of Skyrim Special Edition the most modder friendly console version. Right now we already know that modding will be heavily limited on the PS4 version of Skyrim Special Edition, lacking support for new/custom assets and only supporting up to 1GB of mods.
